The Truth Behind Our $4K in 4 Minutes (It’s Not What You Think)

Wanna know how we did it?
Just kidding. Not about the money—three transactions really did hit our Stripe account, totaling $4K in under 4 minutes.
But there is no magic formula here.
No hack to copy.
Just a coincidence.
Still, there’s a lesson.
It’s easy to see numbers like that and spiral. Why isn’t my business doing $4K in 4 minutes? Is something wrong with me?
Let’s pause. If you’re the kind of person who values building a profitable business without sacrificing your well-being (or your soul), odds are, nothing is wrong.
Rather, there are things that went down last week that were set in place long, long ago to allow for such a dopamine-tastic sales day.
So, how did this $4K happen?
1. A past client re-signed.
On our (re)discovery call, she said, “Out of every consultant I’ve hired, you two are the ONLY ones who delivered what you promised.”
Oof. Flattering, but also, YIKES.
The bar is that low?
How it went down: We sent an email saying we had a couple of 2025 coaching spots open. She replied. No fancy funnel. No big sales page. Just a conversation with someone we spent months working with in the past who is ready for round two. She’s winning. We are winning. We love working together.
2. A former colleague saw my LinkedIn post.
She commented, I replied, we booked a coffee chat. During our convo, I mentioned The Prosper Network. She said, “That’s exactly the kind of community I’ve been praying for.” The next day—at the exact same minute as our returning client—she signed up for an annual membership. Complete coincidence in timing.
How it went down: I showed up, engaged, and had a real conversation with a real person on a day I had a lot of other important things to check off the list. But I really wanted to catch up with this friend and hear all about her new endeavors since we’d last spoken. Turned out she was looking for something I could help with.
3. A recurring payment hit.
One of our Incubator clients’ scheduled payments processed four minutes after the first two happened.
How it went down: We offer payment plans to support business owners’ cash flow. That was last week’s fancy strategy for fast money. Except this “strategy” is really just the way we want to live and run our business…
Why Real Connection Still Converts
Our $4K in 4 minutes is actually just evidence that building real relationships and prioritizing meaningful conversations works. Even when it doesn’t feel productive in the moment.
We love making money. We love when it comes fast. But our actual goal? Seeing people. Knowing them. Helping them actualize what they want for their businesses so they can do more good in the world.
If we have the solution, we offer it. If we don’t, we connect them to someone who does.
Integrity is how we show love in business. And, thanks to the law of reciprocity, we see it come back to us.
